Why Work With Me

You do not need another opinion. You need an investigation.

By the time most people find me, they have already seen four or five providers. They are holding a folder of results marked normal, a list of advice that contradicted itself, and a quiet suspicion that no one has actually looked. They are not lacking effort or intelligence. They are lacking an investigation, because the system they trusted is built to name diseases and match them to prescriptions, not to ask why a body stopped working in the first place.

That question is the whole of what I do. What follows is how, and why it succeeds where the rounds you have already done did not.

A Message From
Diego Reyes

If this is your daily reality, you are in the right place

Most people do not arrive with a clean diagnosis. They arrive with patterns. If several of these describe your ordinary day, the physiology underneath is almost certainly worth investigating.

You are tired no matter how long you sleep. Your afternoons collapse into a crash. You lie awake wired at night, or wake between two and four in the morning and cannot fall back. The weight will not move no matter how carefully you eat, and you have quietly bought the next size up. Your gut decides how your day goes. Your moods swing in ways that do not feel like you. You react to foods you used to tolerate. Workouts take days to recover from instead of hours. And the face in the mirror looks older than the person behind it feels.

None of that is in your head, and none of it is a character flaw. Each one is a signal. My work is to find what they are pointing to.

"True wellness begins when you address the root cause, not just the symptoms."

Why nothing has worked yet

You have most likely been failed in two different directions, and it helps to name both honestly.

Conventional medicine, for all its real brilliance in surgery, emergencies, and acute crisis, was never engineered to investigate slow, interconnected dysfunction. So it measures a narrow set of markers against ranges wide enough to miss what is actually wrong, tells you everything looks fine, and sends you home. When a symptom is loud enough to demand action, it is met with a prescription that quiets the signal without ever asking why the signal exists. The symptom returns. Often it brings others.

Then there is the other camp, the wellness and functional world that promised something better and too often delivered a four hundred dollar shelf of supplements handed to everyone the same way. That is not rigor. It is guessing with better branding. Twenty interventions applied at once, none of them sequenced, none of them reasoned from your actual physiology.

I am not either of those. Here is the difference.

First, I investigate. I do not guess.

My clinical philosophy comes down to a single question. Not what medication matches this symptom, but why is this symptom occurring in the first place.

To answer it, I run comprehensive functional labs that reach far past standard testing: full thyroid physiology rather than a single marker, fasting insulin and true metabolic health, sex and adrenal hormones, inflammation, nutrient status, and gut and microbiome function. Then I read those results against optimal physiology, not the bare minimum of normal. This is the reason your bloodwork keeps coming back fine while you feel anything but. The wrong things are being measured, against ranges too loose to catch real dysfunction. I measure the right things, and I let the data show the actual root cause of how you feel.

Second, I work in sequence, because biology heals in order

This is the part most people never see until they live it. Healing is not a pile of interventions thrown at the body at once. It is a sequence, and the order is everything.

I stabilize the foundations first, blood sugar, gut, inflammation, sleep, and nervous system tone, because every hormone and every advanced therapy works better on a stable base and fails without one. Only then do I optimize the signaling: thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormones, in the order your physiology actually requires. Then I make the change durable rather than seasonal. Sequencing is what separates genuine recovery from an expensive cabinet of half measures, and it is the core of my method.

The Restoration Arc

My flagship is a six month systems biology program built in four deliberate phases. The structure exists because real change follows a real order, not a marketing calendar.

Phase one, Diagnostic Mapping. Comprehensive functional labs across your thyroid, metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, nutrient, and gut systems, reviewed alongside your full history and read against optimal physiology. I identify the patterns and upstream drivers most providers never look for.

Phase two, System Stabilization. I restore the foundations before optimizing on top of them. Blood sugar and metabolic regulation first, then digestion and inflammatory load brought down, then sleep and nervous system tone rebuilt as the platform everything else depends on.

Phase three, Hormonal and Metabolic Restoration. With the foundation stable, I optimize the signaling. Thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormones sequenced in the right order, with bioidentical hormones and pharmaceutical grade peptides where indicated, each paired to your physiology rather than pulled off a menu.

Phase four, Performance and Longevity. I layer resilience, recovery, and cognitive optimization onto the restored foundation, then build the maintenance strategy that holds the result after the program ends, with direct access to me throughout and telemedicine physician coverage across all fifty states.

Real change runs on biological time, not a calendar I picked for convenience.

Functional testing only becomes meaningful across months, because a single snapshot cannot reveal whether your physiology is actually shifting or just having a good day. Biology heals in sequence, and each phase has to hold before the next can begin. And six months is the runway your body needs for new patterns to become your baseline rather than a brief improvement that fades the moment support is removed. Anyone promising the same result in three weeks is offering the fade, not the fix.

Most people end up paying full retail across several uncoordinated vendors for the same labs, hormones, peptides, and supplements. Hundreds of dollars a month, sometimes far more, with no one coordinating the strategy behind any of it.

Inside my program, everything runs through a single clinical relationship, and hormones, peptides, and supplements pass through at wholesale rather than marked up to retail. Across six months that structure saves clients thousands of dollars, and more importantly, it means every recommendation is tied to a reason instead of a markup. When prescription therapy is part of the plan, it is prescribed and monitored by the licensed physicians I work with across all fifty states and Puerto Rico.

Body composition is not the goal of this work. It is the visible evidence that your physiology is finally working in your favor. When thyroid, insulin, cortisol, and sex hormones return to optimal, the body responds the way it was built to. Fat that would not move begins to move. Lean tissue answers training again. Skin clears, hair thickens, the puffiness fades. Energy returns to a level you can actually live and train on.

But most people do not come to me asking for better labs. They come asking to feel like themselves again. The labs are simply how we get there. The real destination is waking up clear before caffeine has done a thing, recognizing the body in the mirror, training without the three day crash that used to follow, and getting back the version of yourself you had quietly begun to mourn. That person comes back.

I am honest about fit, because the work is serious and your time matters as much as mine.

This is for you if you have been dismissed and want a real answer, if your situation is complex and tangled across several systems, and if you are ready to commit to a genuine process rather than a shortcut. It is equally for the person who is already well and refuses to accept that decline is the price of getting older.

It is not for you if you want a single pill to silence one symptom, if you are looking for someone to manage you indefinitely without ever resolving the cause, or if you are not ready to give the work the months it honestly takes. I would rather tell you that on a call than take you on and disappoint you. That honesty is the same standard I hold for every part of your care.

I work with people in more than one way, because someone deep in a complex chronic struggle and someone who is already well and wants to optimize do not need the same thing. Rather than ask you to guess which fits, I would rather understand your case first and tell you honestly what I recommend, including whether I am the right person to help.

That is what the consultation is for. We review your history together, talk through what you are facing and what you want, and decide whether this is the right fit. No pressure, and no obligation.
