Often the opposite is true. Low stomach acid leaves food half broken down, which ferments, produces gas, and pushes back up as reflux. Suppressing acid further can deepen the real problem while masking the symptom.<\/p><p><strong>Weak digestion from low enzymes or sluggish bile.<\/strong> If your pancreas is not releasing enough enzymes, or your bile flow is poor, you cannot properly break down food, especially fats and proteins.
