Cotter pins are metal fasteners made to be inserted into slots or holes to secure an assembly. One end extends slightly beyond the other end. Ideal to anchor assemblies and hold them in place by spreading the metal wires outward. When used with castle or slotted nuts, it becomes a safety locking device.
